WriteNow
Training Program
"Express
yourself
with confidence!" is Trimount's company motto. It's simple and direct—exactly
what good writing should be.
Our WriteNow Training Program can teach you—as well as your fellow managers—to develop your writing skills so that your e-mails,
letters and reports are clear and to the point, which is something your readers will appreciate.

A Hands-On Learning Experience
|
|
|
1.
|
Benefit:
Greater Insight
Our workshops begin with a brief overview of the
parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.) and how each
part works as a building block in writing sentences.
|
|
2.
|
Benefit: Better Focus
We move on to a series of exercises which will
help you "think like a writer." In the first exercise, you'll write
simple paragraphs, making sure that each sentence builds on the
one which came before it so that your paragraphs are focused,
reaching logical conclusions readers can easily understand.
|
|
3.
|
Benefit: Increased Confidence
Next, we ask you to correct material taken from
magazines and newspapers. Is the text well written? Is the meaning
clear? Fixing other writers' mistakes teaches you to avoid similar
problems and strengthens your own writing. As the WriteNow
Training Program advances, you'll see your
writing skills—as well as your confidence—continue to grow (see Survey).
|
|
4.
|
Benefit: Successful
Correspondence
In the last exercise, you'll write a standard
business letter starting with an outline to organize your thoughts.
Your letter will include an introduction, a body and a closing asking
for the sale—whether you're a banker, a lawyer or a scientist, your
letters should always close with a specific request. The WriteNow
Training Program will teach you to increase
the "asking power" of your letters so that your correspondence is much
more successful.
|
|
5.
|
Benefit: Detailed Analysis
During the exercises, we assess your writing to
determine its strengths and weaknesses, providing detailed
analysis to help you improve (something which self-help materials can't
provide). Reviews are always performed in a positive way,
encouraging you to develop your writing skills.

WriteNow
Individual and Group Training
Trimount presents the WriteNow Training
Program in two different formats: individual training for
executives and group training for managers.
Executive Training. If you're looking to perfect your writing
skills, our executive training offers one-on-one assistance, allowing
you to focus on particular difficulties such as simplifying text to
make it clearly understood. In addition to greater scheduling
flexibility, individualized training lets you fine-tune your writing skills
in the privacy of your office without anyone else present.
Management Training. If
you're one of several managers looking to enhance your
writing—or you're in charge of training and development for your
organization—our management training fosters a team spirit motivating
participants to improve their writing skills. The WriteNow Training
Program's core training module takes approximately four hours to
complete and is easily adapted to your particular organization. Two
review sessions are included to reinforce the basics
learned in the core training. Each review session lasts two hours.
Our fees start at $300 for executive training.
Fees for management training are determined by the size of the class. The
program can be customized to fit your needs and budget.
WriteNow training is available Monday through Saturday and can be
conducted on site at your office, or at an off-site location as well.
